ABOUT
The Mackay Culvert Repair Project involved joint cleaning and sealing works to restore the performance and durability of the drainage infrastructure.
IMPLEMENTATION
CPR Services was engaged by Downer to complete pressure washing and polyurethane spraying of joints to approximately 480 meters of culvert.
The works were delivered by a team of three technicians, who achieved production rates of up to 100 meters of pressure washing per day and 350 meters of polyurethane joint sealing per day.
The project presented challenging conditions, including flooded culvert sections and debris build up, requiring adaptability and consistent effort to maintain progress being made.
CPR implemented strong environmental controls, including water filtration systems to prevent contamination, and ensured all surrounding areas were cleaned and left in excellent condition upon completion.
Considering the demanding conditions and extended 12 hour work days, the team delivered high quality workmanship, including rectifying defects from previous works, resulting in a successful project outcome.
