The Melbourne Airport Elevated Road Strengthening Project forms part of the airports ongoing infrastructure upgrades to improve access and traffic flow around the terminal precinct.

IMPLEMENTATION

CPR Services was engaged by Seymour Whyte to deliver specialist structural strengthening and waterproofing works to the new elevated road structure on Departure Drive, at Melbourne Airport.

The work included the installation of approximately 306Lm of Sika Carbodur BC16 carbon fiber rods to strengthen the existing structure and support the connection to the new roadway. CPR also applied 92m2 of Hychem Matacryl waterproofing membrane to provide long-term protection at the connection point.

The project was delivered across three phases by dedicated CPR crews, including a four-person team for the CFRP rod installation and a five-person team completing the waterproofing works.

Feedback from client: “CPR Services demonstrated strong technical capability and professionalism working collaboratively with the construction team to optimise design solutions and improve constructability. Their practical approach and high-quality workmanship contributed to efficient project delivery.”
