ABOUT
The Upper South Creek Water Treatment Plant is a key Sydney Water infrastructure project supporting water treatment
capacity in Western Sydney.
IMPLEMENTATION
CPR Services were engaged by John Holland to deliver specialised protective coating works across multiple tanks at the facility, with a dedicated team of 6-8 crew members.
The project included grit blasting all tanks, followed by the application of Sika 720 EpoCem Mortar and approximately 7,500m2 of Sika 63N novalac epoxy coating.
A major milestone for CPR was this project marked CPR’s first
spray application of the epoxy system directly from the truck,
introducing a new method for the team. Despite weather related challenges affecting temperature, moisture and dew point requirements, the team successfully delivered the project to specification.
