SYDNEY LEADING CONCRETE CRACK REPAIR SERVICES
CPR Services is the leading Concrete Remedial solutions in Sydney. With over 150 years of combined experience in Concrete Crack Repairs and a fleet of cutting edge technologies, equipment and methods, CPR has been the most called upon to carry out concrete crack repairs in Sydney and regional NSW.
As each region’s climate may vary from one location to another, Sydney residential and domestic structures and properties are typically in more urgent need for crack injection during the wet season.
There two effective methods of Concrete Crack Repairs which we use in repairing cracks in concrete structures, Polyurethane Concrete Crack Repair – otherwise known as ‘Polyurethane Crack Injection’ – and Epoxy Concrete Crack Repair – or as referred to as ‘Epoxy Crack Injection’.
POLYURETHANE CONCRETE CRACK REPAIR (Polyurethane Crack Injection)
Polyurethane crack injection is the most effective ‘Leaking Crack Repair’ method in concrete. The use of polyurethane — sometimes referred to as urethane or grout — The concrete crack injection is very popular due to its versatility of low viscosity polyurethane injection resins for leak sealing making it the most effective leaking crack repair solution. Polyurethane crack injection is used in civil, commercial and residential applications. CPR Services are frequently engaged by a wide spectrum of clients to carry out Concrete Crack Repairs throughout Sydney and regional NSW and on all types of properties and structures. We are well equipped to handle Leaking Crack Injection regardless of the size of the project.
Polyurethane Concrete Crack Repair for Water Ingress.
Water ingress is when water leaks into a building or a structure through floor and wall cracks. This is often a serious defect as it can lead to weakening concrete structures creating more serious problems, both, immediate and in the future. If your building or structure is affected by such leaks, we recommend that you contact us to discuss the repair by way of Crack Injection. Some of the problems and protective processes Crack Injection is best to address and remedy include:
- Leaking Basement Ceilings and Floors;
- Floor and Wall Cracks;
- Waterproofing (Water Proofing);
- Leaking Balcony Floors;
- Leaking Cracks commonly noticed in Basement and Underground Parking Spaces in Civil and Commercial Building;
- All other cracks through which water may be leaking.
Polyurethane Concrete Leaking Crack Injection in Civil Constructions.
Polyurethane Crack Injection is the most widely used method in repairing concrete crack repairs due to its flexibility in application and its reliability in repairing cracks and damage in concrete structures. In addition to its efficiency as a reliable concrete crack repair solution, Polyurethane Crack Injection is also a cost-effective method in repairing leaking cracks in major concrete assets.
Applications include:
- Civil Water – treatment plants, town water supply, pump stations, channels, canals
- Sewage Treatment Plants – high voltage electrical pits, manholes, chemical storage areas
- Dams – diversion tunnels, dam walls, permanent plugs, dam walls, weirs
- Tunnels – rail, road, access and electrical
- Underground Structures
EPOXY CONCRETE CRACK REPAIR (Epoxy Crack Injection)
In Epoxy Concrete Crack Repairs, we use the most advanced and effective Epoxy Injection Systems to ensure that the crack repair is always carried out correctly, effectively and successfully. CPR proudly stands out as the most reliable ‘Structural Concrete Crack Repair’ provider due to our ability to deliver effective concrete crack repair solutions using only the best and most reliable Epoxy Resins available to the industry and we are a preferred installer/applicator for most of the largest resin suppliers in Australia and are continually referred to clients and authorities requiring the highest standards. In Sydney, our clients range from large Commercial and Civil Buildings owners and managers to Residential and Domestic private properties and homes.
CPR typically uses these systems on bridges, reservoirs, roads, tunnels, floor and post-tension slabs and any other load-bearing concrete asset.
Epoxy Crack Injection Process
Epoxy Crack Injection is typically used on horizontal, vertical, and overhead cracks where conventional repair methods cannot penetrate or are too cost-prohibitive. As a first step in the Crack Repair process, the cause of the crack must be examined and determined. Depending on the level of crack damage, other crack methods may be used. For example, if the crack does not compromise the structural integrity of the structure, injection with polyurethane grouts or other non-structural materials may be a more suitable choice to fill the crack (ie Leaking, flexing etc). Before implementing the crack repair, the conditions that caused the crack must first be corrected. In some cases, structural cracks may be too damp and cannot be dried out, in such cases, a moisture tolerant resin is often used. Alternatively, if the crack is non-structural a low viscosity polyurethane hydrophilic resin would achieve the best result.
Epoxies for crack injection are available in a range of viscosities, from ultra-thin to paste-like are used to accommodate cracks of different widths. The main advantage of epoxies over other repair products is their high compressive strength. That’s why epoxies are the only choice for cracks requiring structural repair.
